Shanrae Cheree Price is a soul stirring, praise singing, overcoming believing woman of God whose been blessed with the gifts and talents to not only sing, but teach, write, arrange and produce songs/music. Shanrae is the eldest daughter of Evangelist Claudia Price-North and Sister to Soulful Singer Kelly Price and the late Sakina Grace Price. She is the wife of Dupree Owens, and the Mother of two sons and one daughter, Kai Owens, Tai Owens and Shachera Owens.
Shanrae has worked in ministry all her life ministering the good news of Christ both near and far. She’s been blessed to sing with other artist within the gospel realm such as “The Late Great Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, Twinkie Clark, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Pastor Hezekiah Walker and Love Fellowship Choir, The Late Great James Moore, The Late Great Timothy Wright, The late Great Benny Cummings, and a host of others.
Through the ministry of song, the doors of opportunity opened for Shanrae’ to sing and record with renowned artists such as Mariah Carey as well as other artists such as George Michael, Luther Vandross, Puff Daddy and a host of other artist.
Shanrae recently released her solo project called “Long Time Coming” January 20th, 2018 which has soared. Shanrae’s album opening song “No Boundaries” has been nominated for the 2018 IRAA award and is the recipient of the 2018 Radio and Records New artist of the year award. Shanrae’ is the recent recipient of the three-category award winning VIGA awards.
To her surprise Shanrae’ is a seven-category award nominee for the 2019 Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards as well as an eight-category nominee of the 2019 Prayze Factor awards. Shanrae’ came home with the 2019 Praise Ministry of the year Prayze Factor Award. As well as being nominated for the 2019 KIA Awards, & a three category nominee for the 2019 Gospel Choice Awards TGBTG.
